Decades of Command, Mentorship, and Empowering Potential

My commitment to public service, personal growth, and leadership development—combined with a genuine passion for helping others reach their full potential—led me to become a member of the John Maxwell Team. I bring more than 30 years of law enforcement and executive leadership experience, including serving as Chief of Police for major law enforcement organizations.

My professional journey has provided me with extensive experience in organizational leadership, strategic planning, team development, training, coaching, and community engagement. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management. I am also honored to have been recognized as a John C. Maxwell Culture Award recipient, reflecting my commitment to leadership excellence, personal growth, and positively influencing others.

Throughout my career, I have participated in and led hundreds of project teams, including initiatives that received regional and national recognition. I have served in a wide range of supervisory, management, and executive leadership positions, including serving as a Training Bureau Commander for a large law enforcement agency. These experiences have strengthened my ability to develop leaders, build effective teams, manage organizational change, and help individuals and organizations achieve meaningful and sustainable results.

I am also the Owner and CEO of XCEL Consulting Group LLC, where I draw upon decades of leadership experience to help individuals, teams, and organizations strengthen their leadership capacity and maximize their potential.

Early in my career, I had the privilege of serving alongside and learning from exceptional leaders in both the public and private sectors. Their example inspired me to become a lifelong student of leadership and reinforced my commitment to continuous learning and personal growth. Over the years, I have discovered that some of my greatest professional fulfillment comes from serving others and helping people become more confident, capable, and effective leaders.
